CULLMAN - County water customers are no longer under water restrictions. At Tuesday's Cullman County Commission meeting, Cullman County Water Department Manager Randall Waldrep reported that Lake Catoma, the county's water source, has risen due to recent rains. He recommended that the commission remove all water restrictions, and the commission agreed.
Waldrep says Catoma is now "8-and-a-half to 9 feet below full pool."
Water restrictions had been in place since November, when the lake fell to 17 feet below full pool; in January, it was down 22 feet.
