Robert “Bob” Eugene Bender, 81, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 peacefully at his home in Cullman, Alabama.
Bob was born on July 13, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Roy and Jessie Fike Bender.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home
, 461 U.S. Hwy 278 E, Cullman, Alabama.
Bob was a retired cabinet maker and flight instructor; he served his country as a paratrooper and heavy weapons (Calvary) for nine years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vinemont, Alabama.
Mr. Bender is survived by his wife Peggy Ruth Bender; one son, Troy Alan Bender; of Cullman, Al; daughters, Linda Bender (Randy) Hylton of Hayden, Al, Julie Bender of Hayden, Al, Terri L. Bender Lockhart of Maples, Fl; eight grandchildren, Steve, Alan Jr., Seth, twins, Ronnie and Renee, Nathalie, Tanya, Jessie; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several cousins and many friends. Bob was devoted to his family and friends.
